Holding Stories of Loss with Water; Containment in Drama Therapy
In this ongoing 2024 performance research project, I use the concept of containment in drama therapy to hold space and honor stories of loss with eight BIPOC women who have experienced pregnancy loss.

Tais Sessions (Theatre Artists for Inclusive Stories)
TAIS is a freelance artist organization that I co-founded in June 2020. It offers a series of spontaneous/playback theatre sessions and workshops at Arizona State University.

The Human Body/Archive: A Collection of Stories
This was a Performance as Research project which aimed at exploring the liveness of stories and rich history embossed in/on our bodies in the form of scars (internal and external), tribal marks, and birthmarks. The piece was an introductory performance of my research data for a larger project and a representation of my interaction with the personal archive (stories) of a selection of my research participants.

Complexities of Women Creating and Taking Up Space in Patriarchal Hegemonic Spaces: The Case of TellitMoMs
The issue of male presence in physical and ideological terms within what should be women-only spaces is not just a matter of ideological contestation and concern within the Women's Movement globally; it is also a serious expression of the backlash against women's attempts to become autonomous of men in their personal/political relationships and interactions (McFadden, 2021)
In 2021, I collected observation and interview data from an online women-only space to explore the Complexities of Women Creating and Taking Up space in Patriarchal hegemonic Spaces. The data and discoveries inspired a performance that was shared with the research participants.

Enough: Plays to End Gun Violence
Enough is a nationwide project that features a series of 10mins plays written by youth across the United States as an action against gun violence. I directed one of the pieces in collaboration with Binary theatre in April 2022. Human Body/Knowledge: Dancing from the Inside Out.
The human body holds rich knowledge, which is not only stored in our DNA but our internal/external scars, tribal marks, birthmarks, tattoos, and piercings. I consider the human body’s unique way of storing data as the human body/archive. In this project, I attempted to “undata” research data of the human body/archive of my research participants through Ghanaian-inspired
ritualistic body movement, containment, distancing in drama therapy, and videography in a period of social distancing. The project's purpose was to explore the healing potentials of performance for a researcher/performer and their research participants.
